2009 F1 Abu Dhabi – Glock Out, Kobayashi In to the Final

COLOGNE – Timo Glock certainly will absence in the final race in 2009 Formula 1 season at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, this weekend. Kamui Kobayashi ready to appear as a replacement.

Spinal injury in the qualifying session at Suzuka, has forced the German driver was miss over the Japanese and Brazilian Grand Prix. Toyota was ready to wait for him to recover for the best performance in the final series. Unfortunately, until now his condition has not improved. Japanese manufacturing squad refused to take greater risks.

“We are very sorry Timo, who has donated two impressive podium, had to end up like this,” said team president John Howett as reported by autosport, and recorded at f1dv.com, Tuesday (27/10/2009).

“But we do not want to aggravate the condition. We have asked for medical recap, ask our doctor’s advice and Timo management. The team decided to change his position with Kamui,” he explained.

Given, Kobayasi, 23 years old Japanese driver appeared promising on his F1 debut at Interlagos. Kobayashi finished 11th in his first performance.
