Renault certainly fail to compete for the trophy Formula 1 world champion this season. But Renault team boss Bob Bell still expects to perform up to his squad remained in the remaining two series to achieve the best results.
Bell intended target was the position of six in the constructors standings. Given, now Renault is still frozen in position seven with 26 collection points. But Renault has the potential to rise to a position six or even fall in position eight. Because right now Renault only 8.5 points away from Williams in the position 6 and winning 2 points from BMW Sauber.
Just play it safe in the two remaining series in order to secure the seven positions, certainly not the hope that Renault could emerge as world champion a few years ago. For that, Bell was ultimate the squad to be appear aggressive and targeting a victory in the remaining two series in Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
“In every race, we always have the determination to win, or at least secure a podium. We do not want to spoil our ambition to play it safe and just try to secure our position in the standings,” said Bell, as reported by Autosport, and recorded at f1dv.com, Tuesday (13/10/2009 ).
“The only way we have to do is look aggressive against the two teams (Williams & BMW), while trying to find opportunities to finish in the maximum position,” he added.
