Sebastian Vettel appear dominant in the Japanese Grand Prix. Yesterday (4 / 10), flagship Red Bull-Renault was not touched at Suzuka Circuit. However, the main story is not him. The main story is Jenson Button, the main candidate of the world champion in 2009.

Finish in eighth, Jenson Button did not yet lock the world championships title in Japan. However, with two races remaining, Brawn-Mercedes driver was still on the verge of world champion.

Obtaining points (85) is still safely on his own team mate, Rubens Barrichello (71), and Webber (69). Without having to take the podium in the last two series (Brazil and Abu Dhabi), Button can still be the champion.

Moreover, the character of the circuit in either place is suitable for Brawn BGP 01 car. Button makes the light thinking about the title. “I am very excited walking through to the end of the season. I can not wait through the next race in Brazil,” said the British driver was over the Japanese Grand Prix yesterday.

The problem for Button: Two last race in 2009 might be the last two races with the Brawn-Mercedes. Although on the verge of the title, he was also on the verge of leave.

Contract talks between the Brawn sides and Button called stuck now. Button, who before the 2009 season, would have cut salaries to save the team, now wants to pay like his old salaries again.

This year, the rumor said that he got “only” USD 5 million. Plus, Button called paying himself every individual needs. For next year, Button management wants back his old salaries. Value is almost three times the price this year.

Brawn own party apparently did not want to pay that much. Later, they had an offer slightly higher than current salaries. That offer makes Richard Goddard, manager of Button shocks. “We do not want to be greedy. When we sign a contract (this season), we do so with the knowledge that if this year the team improved, then the (paid) Jenson also improved,” Goddard said as reported by the Daily Star, and recorded at f1dv.com.

Goddard says, if Brawn does not satisfy the Button’s wants, most likely the driver will flee. Although he felt comfortable in Brawn and will win the world championships in the team.
