Ferrari Slightly Excellence than BMW and Toyota
Signs Formula 1 2009 season will be going strict visible again from the continued testing in the Sakhir Circuit, Bahrain. During four days, Monday to Thursday (Feb. 16-19), three-team fight in there. The result, Ferrari F1 is slightly superior than BMW Sauber and Toyota F1.
During the four day, three teams alternately record the best time. And for that four days also, the time difference between the third new car is never more than a range of 0.5 seconds.
BMW Sauber was fastest on the first day, then Ferrari F1, and then Toyota F1, then Ferrari again on the last day. Felipe Massa recorded the best time trials on the closing day, with a record 1 minute and 32,162 seconds. But, the car Ferrari F60 only go up to 0.1 seconds better than the BMW F1.09 driven by Nick Heidfeld.
Not surprisingly, after the four days trial, all the three team claim satisfied. Although the first trials last week was disturbed by a sand storms, four-day exercise held last smoothly and productive.
The three teams are really maximize the opportunity. A day, every racer can devour more than 120 lap, alias approximately twice the distance race.
Willy Rampf, technical director of BMW Sauber, says the trial in Bahrain is much more productive than training in Europe. ''We can tried the car in temperatures that we can not get in Europe at the time such as this. This trial is good preparation for the beginning race in this new season,''he said.
The Toyota F1 is also optimistic, although on the last day was had hidraulyc problem. Unfortunately''our last day was disturbed. But, for us, the trial is still a success,''Timo Glock said, Toyota drivers.
First Formula 1 race will be held in 2009 in Melbourne, Australia, March 29.
