Belgium GP are impacted by ING Resolution

SPA FRANCORCHAMPS – The Belgian Grand Prix organizers appear calm, even though the Dutch bank ING withdraw nearly all the sponsorship of Formula One (F1).

“We need not fear. Our contract isn’t with ING, but with a company associated with the organization all the ads,” Andre Maes, Spa boss said, as written F1Live, Friday (30/1/2009).

In the 2008 season, Maes itself declares ready if race at Spa having experiencing loss. But this time, Maes very worried when ING issue will impact on the ticket sales.

“Because, in 2008 and they have set up 3,000 tickets for employees and customers,” he repine.

ING is not only be the sponsors of Renault F1 Team. The combined company is also be the sponsor of four icon races, including the Spa Francorchamps.

But starting in 2009, ING begin reducing the number of funds around the Formula 1 event. And the entire program will be evaluated again mid this season.
