BMW Motorsport Director, Dr. Mario Theissen, want in the next few years the burden of minimum Formula 1 car can be increased.
The addition of the weight of KERS will be introduced starting in 2009, can counteract the balance of the car. With the addition of weight, Theissen expects the balance of the car wash down the Formula 1 event in its entirety can be awake.
"This system adds to the burden of the car and this is to give effect to the distribution of the burden of the car and the use of tires, so we must make decisions using KERS race-by-race, a driver-by-driver," said Theissen as quoted by f1gpupdate, Tuesday (17 / 3 / 2009).
Above all the issue of burden of the car, there are other problems appear. Drivers who have more body weight can be trapped in situations that are less profitable.
"Traditionally, this means drivers who have have body weight will stuck in not profitable situation ," Theissen row.
"Weight of KERS will further reduce the required ballast. So, to prevent Formula 1 to become jockey competition, we encourage the increased the minimum burden in the future," he closed.
