Confirmed, Alonso sign a Three Years contract With Ferrari

Ferrari made a rapid movement in securing Fernando Alonso. A few days after rumored to reach an agreement with the Spaniard came, yesterday they that Alonso had joined with Ferrari.

Alonso was contracted to Ferrari next three seasons starting in 2010. 2005 and 2006 world champion will replace Kimi Raikkonen that cutting to contract a year early. Alonso will be a duet with Felipe Massa.

“We are proud to have great drivers, who have shown exceptional talent with two-time world champion,” said Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali as reported by Autosport and recorded at f1dv.com yesterday.

Separately, Kimi admitted sad to leave Ferrari. Finnish driver was mentioned company of over three years with Ferrari as an extraordinary period. In the first season of 2007, he had managed to become world champion.

“I am very sad to leave the team. Where I spent with them a fantastic three years, winning many competitions,” said Kimi.

There are currently no certainty where Kimi will dock next season. However, he likely will return to his old team, McLaren-Mercedes, to duet with Lewis Hamilton. After the announcement yesterday Alonso contract certainty, within a few days ahead will be a lot of other drivers contract certainty.
