Ferrari Formula 1 aerodynamics chief John Iley will leave the team based in Maranello at the end of this year.

According to autosport, Thursday (23/7/2009), the UK man who joined with The Prancing Horse to occupy a new position in November 2003, and will not be extended contracts.

Recent discussions with the Ferrari Formula 1 team about his future have been made. The both side agree not to extend their agreement.

Iley resignation news came after Ferrari Formula 1 have the difficult period of time to maximize the F60 car performace. This year, the champion Ferrari Formula 1 car is not present victory to Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa.

Thus, the designer head Nikolas Tombazis will increasing his responsibility for the development of aerodynamics team in 2010.

Before working with Ferrari Formula 1, Iley was joined with the Jordan Formula 1 team and Renault Formula 1, and was written that he will be joining the Honda Formula 1 a few years ago.
