Rumor Giancarlo Fisichella's move to Maranello fulfilled. Team Force India Formula 1 official release Fisicho to Ferrari, yesterday.
The last few days, crowded reported Fisicho would replace the position of Luca Badoer, after Ferrari's third driver failed to show up as a replacement for Felipe Massa. The puzzle answered.
As reported by autosport, Friday (4/9/2009), team boss Vijay Mallya says: “Giancarlo and his management team meet me yesterday, brought a proposal from Ferrari.”
“I understand, for each of the Italian, the chair Ferrari is always a dream, including for Giancarlo,” he explained, “after all, Ferrari guarantee his future with long-term contracts.”
“There’s nothing to worry about, considering that Giancarlo has made important contributions to the Force India,” he said.
Fisichella made a surprise to appear competitive in the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix, last weekend. This veteran racer finished second just behind the Prancing Horse champion, Kimi Raikkonen. Now, both drivers are biting and will work together until the series 2009 grand prix season ends.
Meanwhile, Mallya had not decided to escort Adrian Sutil after Fisicho post-departure. However, the name Vitantonio Liuzzi appear as a rookie candidate in the remaining five final series.
