There are three main straight track at Monza could be used as a show of greatness of KERS. Without KERS, the top speed can reach until 218 miles per hour (1 mile = 1.6 km). It's faster 21 miles per hour than any other circuit on the Formula 1 calendar this season. With KERS, of course, a driver can be faster than that.
''With the high speed Monza characters, all cars will use an aerodynamic package with minimal of downforce. However, we will benefit by using KERS,''said the McLaren driver Heikki Kovalainen.
It also agreed by McLaren Formula 1 Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh. So, what about the car without KERS? Brawn-Mercedes and Red Bull-Renault is so far still control the top, it seems, must be willing, if this weekend could not win.
But, although small, still there is room for them to climb the podium. Barrichello was one that could be championed outside KERS user teams. Driver who had twice won at Monza was said the car has a good balance to grind kerbing.
