Michael Schumacher will start his "debut" in Formula 1 series at the 11th European Formula 1 Grand Prix, 23 August 2009, as a Felipe Massa replacement.

As quotted by F1Live, the official Ferrari team, on Wednesday (29/7/2009) local time, has ended the speculation since a tragic accident experienced by Massa at Hungarian GP qualifying session last week. The team announced that Schumacher is "ready" to comeback.

To prepare his comeback at F1 racing, the German drivers that hanging his helmet at 2006 will be in a training program a few days to come. As you know, Schumi had not test the reliability of F60. Last time he appears to sit on the back wheel of the land jet is in April 2008, when the F2008 test in Barcelona.

Initially Schumi was showing a cold respond to his comeback. But, with the condition of Massa, and also Ferrari need top-line drivers, the 40 years old man grab for the opportunity.

“The most important thing is Felippe positive condition. I pray the best forged it,” Schumi said as quotted by autosport, Thursday (30/7/2009).

“I have met with Stefano Domenicali and Luca di Montezemolo. We agreed, I will be ready to take over the role of Massa in the team,” he added.

“My period at F1 is already exhausted in a few years ago, but as a team member, I can not ignore this kind of situation. I accept this challenge,” said the Ferrari legend that have reach seven times title of the world F1 champion.
