BRACKLEY – Nico Rosberg has been the Brawn GP Formula 1 main target for a long time. Mercedes had no part in recruiting drivers for the next season. Brawn GP F1 officially bears the new name Mercedes GP F1.
CEO Nick Fry explained that Ross Brawn’s team looking after the 24-year old German drivers. In fact, contract negotiations have been agreed before Mercedes took over the GP Brawn Formula 1.
So, Rosberg’s arriving to Brackley is pure without the influence of the Mercedes, as reported so far. “In any case, Nico was plotted will join the Brawn,” said Fry as reported by F1Live, Tuesday (24/11/2009).
“And we were satisfied with the agreement between us despite negotiations basically only involve the team, Ross and myself,” he added.
Some parties believe the arrival of Rosberg will be followed by other German drivers. Nick Heidfeld’s name appears as a strong candidate, the other names is Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen. Robert Kubica was sticking out as an option.
