Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula 1 became the last Formula 1 team that launched a new car for the Formula 1 season 2009. Yesterday morning STR4 cars using Ferrari engine was introduced in Barcelona, Spain.
In fact there is nothing new on STR4. Formula 1 fans may already know that since the last season Toro Rosso Formula 1 and the "big the brother," Red Bull Racing, has been sharing the car design. So, this look of Toro Rosso STR4 are more or less the same as the Red Bull-Renault RB5 introduced since last February.
Toro Rosso STR4 car also has come down to the track last week. The cars was running a system check in Adria circuit, Italy. However, for fast testing compete with the other team is a new start yesterday in Barcelona.
Because Red Bull RB5 have a longer practice time, so Toro Rosso Formula 1 had a basic description about the performance of STR4. Franz Tost, boss of the team, is optimistic with the performance of the Adrian Newey's car.
"From Red Bull's first exercise in Jerez (Spain, Red), it seems the car directly quick from the start. Adrian Newey and his team have produced a package of car that promises," he said.
But, about the target, Tost did not want to talk too much. He realized, years ago Toro Rosso Formula 1 exceeding all targets. Although using the new car in the sixth series of Formula 1 2008 in Monaco, Toro Rosso Formula 1 seasons ago is able to overcome the acquisition points Red Bull Racing team and several other, more "rich" team.
