USF1 was stated, to have a headquarters in North Carolina, United States, is the right choice. But the fact is, Ken Anderson targeted Spain as their European headquarters.
Diario Sports wrote, on Tuesday (24/2/2009), USF1 require a special location in Europe mainland for the trial before Formula One (F1) calendar begin to start. Azkoitia, located in the north of Spain have been used as the main target.
This is justified by the director of the Le Mans team Epsilon Euskadi, Azkoitia legitimate owner, Joan Villadelprat and Sergio Rinland. Both were known as suporter F1.
"That's correct, but only a light discussion only. No certainty,"Villadelprat said.
"First, we must first see how the team USF1 progress," he added.
That Spanish origin Man have not disputed the team is close to the principal USF1 Anderson. "He was contacting me," he said.
"They have been considering, the importance to have a headquarters in Europe. Spain became the first consideration as the ideal location for them," he added.
