LONDON – Volkswagen (VW) is ready to enliven the Formula One competition, as the engine supplier. However, a German manufacturer will begin the adventures at Formula 1 for the next 2012 season.
The resignation some manufacturers from Formula One this season, is one reason Volkswagen’s going to compete in F1 arena. Yes, in recent years, recorded three manufacturers have decided to resign. They are Honda, BMW and the last is Toyota.
With the introduction of regulations related to the use of the new power unit at the F1 event starting this season, W was ready to enliven F1 competition, as had to be rumored some time ago. Yes, a few years ago VW reportedly ready to buy Red Bull Racing and provide the machine for the team. Unfortunately, that rumors failed to be realized.
However, now the VW through its representative, Hans-Joachim Stuck said that his party was ready to become engine supplier F1 teams, began the season in 2012. This plan was to make F1 competition looks more attractive.
“If you feel as one of the largest manufacturers in the world, then, normally if you start thinking about F1. And the plan will be realized before 2012,” Stuck said as quoted by Autosport, Saturday (28/11/2009).
“We want to look for new innovations and F1 is the top of world of motorsport. Two years ago, there was talk that VW plans to buy F1 team Red Bull Racing, which unfortunately we failed to realize. Now, we wonder why we focused on a team if we are able to provide the engine for some teams?, “he added.
“Now, we have an incredible opportunity. F1 has been running in the right direction. Many other manufacturers have fled, and we thought it would be a good deal,” he added.
