STUTTGART – Mercedes Grand Prix continues to make improvements. Absolute target is to increase the speed of the car.
Mercedes successfully placed Nico Rosberg on the podium at the Malaysian GP last week. Nevertheless, the transformation of defending champion team Brawn GP still felt not satisfied because they feel unable to compete the speed of the top team.
Handling steps and improvements are now starting pursued. According to team principal Ross Brawn believes the next race in China, a duet Rosberg and Michael Schumacher going to be able to bring MGP W1 perform expertly on the track.
“Our car has a resilience. We have also been getting good results at the Malaysian GP with the condition of the car as it is now. But we must be realistic and realize that the present speed of MGP W1 still less to compete in the forefront, “said Brawn.
“The situation is certainly not the kind we wanted. But we’ll keep working hard to close the gap”he said, as quoted by Autosport, Friday (9/4/2010).
