BMW Sauber to World Champion

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

BMW Sauber become the 6th Formula 1 team to launched the new car for F1 2009 season. Yesterday the car with code F1.09 is introduce through a simple photo session at Valencia, Spain.

Predicted to become a strong competitor to F1 Ferrari and McLaren-Mercedes, the new BMW car makes the BMW’s fans have to hold their breath. Why? Because the appearance of BMW F1.09 is so minimalist. Some of them think that it isn’t a F1 car, but that is a Formula BMW car.

Furthermore, the design is dominant with white color plus a little dark blue on the side. The pattern shows the consistency of F1 BMW design at the last few years. But usually this pattern is helps by flippers and exotics little wings decorate F1 car until last year. Not like the last year, this season body of F1 car has to be minimal, has a little accessories as you can, this makes appearance of BMW F1.09 looks so simple. So cute :D

Among another Formula 1 car, new BMW F1.09 already launched, is the most minimalist F1 car.

Although minimalist, F1 BMW confess that this car are designed since February 2008 last year. “We tottaly built it from the scratch” Willy Rampf, technical coordinator BWM Sauber said.

They have built the car so early because they have high expectation on this Formula 1 season. “We have announced our target at 2009 sine 4 years ago,” Mario Theissen, CEO BMW Motorsport, said. “We targeted to have a first point at 2006, first podium at 2007, and get the first victory on 2008. Since 2009, we want to fight for the world championship”. He added.

So far BMW Sauber is already achieve the entire target they made before. Because of that, whatever the appearance of BMW F1.09 is, the team should not be underestimate. And don’t forget, this team have a good couple driver, fast and experiences, Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld.

Theissen added, his team is helped by the new regulation implemented at 2009. Especially about the limitation of car test during this F1 2009 season. BWM F1 is the first team announced the new car with 2009 specification at the end of last year.

While other teams still work on their factory, BMW have try a lot of new concepts on the circuits. This is a good invest, the other teams doesn’t have a lot of time to develop the basic concepts of their new F1 cars.

“We are so happy with all we have done.” Theissen said.

Good Bye F1 2008 Season, Welcome F1 2009 Season

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

As a tittle said, :) . What’s new in the F1 2009 season? Well, let me give you a clue ;) . We’ll have a new technology for Formula 1 cars at F1 2009 season. The new system will called, KERS stand for (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). What is that?

As an ordinary F1 lover I can say that the system is similar to the NOS usually used by most street race car. If you have watch the Fast & Furious movies, Tokyo Drift, and other similar film. Or if you are a Need for Speed maniac gammers, than you know what KERS is. :D When you on your top speed, just press the button and you’ll have more extra power to boost your car jump out your rival. Very cool isn’t it?

Are all team ready to adopt that technology at F1 2009 season? The answer is no. Not all of F1 team has developed the technology through their car. Only BWM-Sauber team will ready to launch the 2009 car with the new KERS technology. The other team is Toyota F1, but Toyota F1 announce that KERS will implement on their car at least in the middle of F1 2009 season. So, BMW F1 is the new candidate for world championship next year.
