Volkswagen ready to become F1 engine supplier

LONDON – Volkswagen (VW) is ready to enliven the Formula One competition, as the engine supplier. However, a German manufacturer will begin the adventures at Formula 1 for the next 2012 season.

The resignation some manufacturers from Formula One this season, is one reason Volkswagen’s going to compete in F1 arena. Yes, in recent years, recorded three manufacturers have decided to resign. They are Honda, BMW and the last is Toyota.

USF1 Contact All Machine Supplier

Although released, USF1 haven’t sponsors yet, engine, and the order of drivers. However, this team looked very confident. Because the team is not''expensive'', they sure can get enough funds. Moreover, regulation Formula 1 is now more emphasized the cost savings.

About the engine, Ken Anderson confess will contact all the manufacturers involved in F1. Market size of the United States is a''major weapons sale''. Because, for producers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Toyota, is the U.S. the biggest market.

FIA Change Rules about Engine

LONDON – FIA change the regulations concerning the engine. The Formula One (F1) were freed from the obligation to practise each Friday at the Grand Prix in 2009 season.

FIA race director Charlie Whitting clarify that, rules on the use of F1 engine that has been eliminated. But drivers still can not do as they want.

Engine for Formula 1 drivers are limited. Only eight engine for each drivers. They can use the engines ‘as they like’ for a whole season.

“From now on, eight machines will be used for three days of each Grand Prix title,” Whiting said as F1Live wrote, Thursday (29/1/2009).

“So, the team will use the same engine every Friday, may be the four first fight. And they will install a different engine for Saturday and Sunday,” he added.

This turns out it is confusing. Because usually, the team always use one engine for qualifying and change it at the time of the Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Whiting confirmed, penalty will be given only if the drivers using nine engines.
