Jean Todt Lead FIA

PARIS – Jean Todt officially replace Max Mosley as a new leader of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). Former Ferrari boss was defeating his rival Ari Vatanen in a vote in Paris.

"Jean Todt has been officially elected as FIA president for a term of four years, as the results of of the vote in Paris," said onethe FIA official, was quoted by Reuters, and recorded at f1dv.com reported on Friday (23/10/2009).

Reject Sanctions, Briatore Ready to take the Legal Action

The former Renault boss Flavio Briatore could not accept the penalty imposed by the FIA on the race fixing scandal was doing with Pat Symonds, last season. For that, Briatore reportedly ready to take legal action to free him from punishment.

Briatore's got a very severe punishment, which is banned in the racing world for his whole life, while Symonds got sanctions ban only for five years. The FIA imposed sanctions after they proved to instruct Nelson Piquet hit the wall in order to let his team mate Fernando Alonso to appear as a winner in F1GP Singapore, last season.

Kerbs at Monza Created Higher

Italian GP Committee has just issued an announcement about the addition height of kerbs at Monza circuit. According to them it was deliberately done solely to reduce the risk of accidents.

Kerb is the edge of the barrier circuit is usually in the corner. Although not designed flat with the normal path, the kerbs itself deliberately used over by the drivers for shortening the distance when they want to overtake his opponent.

Next Year, Schumi Can race again at F1

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher have chance to race again for Ferrari in the 2010/2011 season. However, all of that will be achieved only when Ferrari’s proposals to use three cars in each series of F1, approved by FIA.

Withdrawal several teams such as Honda and the last is BMW because crushed the global economic crisis is a blow for super fast car race on this earth. With a few contestants, and only two cars allowed in each race, then make sure the F1 arena would have lost prestige.

Ferrari Formula 1 Reject Budget Cap

Ferrari has registered to participate in the event Formula One (F1) in the upcoming 2010 season. However, the Prancing Horse squad claim will still to reject the FIA plan Budget Cap (budget restriction) in the next season.

Yes, Ferrari become one of the nine teams that joined in FOTA reject FIA plans Budget Cap in the 2010 season. Although threatening to pull back if desires are not fulfilled, but in the end Ferrari still decided to participate in the super fast racing car event in the next season.

The new regulation, totally different.

Michael confess was lucky to tried the new regulations at the end of 2008, using the old car with a new wing and plain tires. Last year, only BMW F1 and Williams F1 that had a chance to do that. The experiment, is called the opportunity, to provide "enlightenment" about the direction of development and how to set up the car.

However, once again, Michael believes the situation could change. "Do not take long for the other team to catch up," he said.

Medal system, Will Change the List of F1 Champion

Medal system proposal in the Formula 1 event in the future will be to make many changes. FIA claim, the system will create a new order of the list of F1 champion changes.

As reported Paddocktalk, on Monday (2/2/2009), several days ago F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone had bring about new ideas in the F1 in the future. Ecclestone would like to make the competition is becoming increasingly strict with eliminating the point system and replace it with a medal.

FIA Change Rules about Engine

LONDON – FIA change the regulations concerning the engine. The Formula One (F1) were freed from the obligation to practise each Friday at the Grand Prix in 2009 season.

FIA race director Charlie Whitting clarify that, rules on the use of F1 engine that has been eliminated. But drivers still can not do as they want.

Engine for Formula 1 drivers are limited. Only eight engine for each drivers. They can use the engines ‘as they like’ for a whole season.

“From now on, eight machines will be used for three days of each Grand Prix title,” Whiting said as F1Live wrote, Thursday (29/1/2009).

“So, the team will use the same engine every Friday, may be the four first fight. And they will install a different engine for Saturday and Sunday,” he added.

This turns out it is confusing. Because usually, the team always use one engine for qualifying and change it at the time of the Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Whiting confirmed, penalty will be given only if the drivers using nine engines.
