Tenth Formula 1 team in 2009, which was known as''Honda Formula 1'', has officially survived. Brawn GP, the new name of the team, is a prime training yesterday (6 / 3) at Silverstone, England. Next weekend, they brought the car BGP 001 with Mercedes-Benz engine to Barcelona, Spain, for testing with other teams.

Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello are still kept as a pair of teams driver that have the identity of yellow, black, and white is.

Ecclestone wish Honda Racing Stay

Formula 1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone appeared to still keep the hope to see the Honda team is still in the race this 2009 season. Bernie saw the opportunity is still there before the start of the first series next month.

"We expect the cooperation of the automotive industry or their partner which had the income as much as 25 million pounds or more. They will get a loan if they have a real project to maintain the company," said spokesperson of Dept for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR).

Honda Borrow Money from UK Government

In order to save the image as well as the existence in the world prestigious racing car, Japanese manufacturer Formula One (F1) Honda F1 Racing squad can make borrowing money to the UK government.

Yes, the UK government announced this weekend, will contribute a number of fresh funds to the automotive industry in the form of loans.

As wrote by The Strait Times, Thursday (29/1/2009), Honda F1 Racing have made a meeting with Dept for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR). BERR Minister himself, Lord Peter Mandelson even reveal plans for fund-Honda.

“We have to do the meeting with BERR several times since months ago. We discuss the future of Honda,” said team spokesman as wrote by The Guardian.

Meanwhile, BERR spokesman said, Honda F1 Racing have no reason not to apply the funds to cover expenditure Honda debts worth 2.3 billion Pounds Sterling (USD 5 billion).

Honda Racing CEO Nick Fry say potential buyers have been looking for since the team decided that the manufacturer of Japan pull out of Formula 1 racing event, in December, the result of global financial crisis.

But the rumor, F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone doubts it. According to him, Honda F1 Racing does not really look for buyers. Although Honda F1 ready to assist with a mediator, Ecclestone be pessimistic Honda F1 will find a buyer, as soon as possible.

Honda F1 Starting Optimistic to Stay

The Honda Formula One (F1) only have time until the end of this month to save their squad. Honda must find a buyer before the jet on the land racing in 2009 season begin.

While some of the worry, Honda F1 itself even stay calm. Japanese manufacturers squad remain confident that, they came down ready to fight in the Australian Grand Prix, March.

“We’re not too concerned with speculation circulating that, because we focus on the time limit has been set,” spokesman of Honda said, as BBC wrote, Wednesday (28/1/2009).

“We have a good progress developing our race car. We are optimistic, although we can not hope for much later,” he added.
